Openapi
Openapi does two things for your property. It sends e-invoices to the Sistema di Interscambio from the app, with the outcome coming back by itself. And on the record of an Italian company it finds, from the VAT number, the PEC (certified e-mail) and the SDI recipient code to put on the invoice.

What it does
Sending to the SdI
“Send to the SdI”, from the folio or the document register, delivers the FatturaPA XML to Openapi, which acts as transmitter. The app reads the outcome again every 15 minutes, or straight away with “Refresh outcome”.
PEC and SDI code from the VAT number
On the record of an Italian company the “Search” button next to the VAT number adds the PEC and the recipient code from the Registro Imprese to the company name and address taken from VIES.
Invoices to public bodies
Openapi itself signs the invoices addressed to the public administration before delivering them to the SdI.
Compliant archiving
If you want, Openapi also archives the invoices sent: you choose it with a tick in the Marketplace and Openapi charges you for the service.
Only what you use
Submissions and searches are deducted from the property's credit on Openapi. The search runs only when you press “Search” on an Italian company.
How to switch it on
- 1On console.openapi.com create a token with the sdi.openapi.it scopes for sending invoices and the company.openapi.com scopes for looking up PEC and SDI code.
- 2In the Marketplace inside the app open “Sending of electronic invoices”, choose Openapi and paste the token; the e-mail for Openapi is optional, and without it the property's e-mail is used.
- 3For the lookup from the VAT number, also switch on “Companies' PEC and SDI code”, with its token.
- 4At the first submission the app registers the company on Openapi by itself, free of charge; then every invoice goes with “Send to the SdI”.
