Cookie policy

Last updated: 2 October 2026

What they are

Cookies are small files a website saves in the browser; similar tools are the browser's local storage (localStorage) and third-party scripts. This page explains what the galaxy-hotel.net website and the Galaxy Hotel Cloud PMS use, and why we do not ask for your consent.

The galaxy-hotel.net website

The website sets no cookie of its own and uses no traffic analytics, advertising or profiling tools. Fonts are served by the website itself, with no call to external services.

It writes a single item in the browser's local storage, «ghc.cookie-notice», to remember that you closed the cookie notice: it contains only the date you closed it, stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Third-party services loaded by the website

Cloudflare Turnstile, on the «Try for free» and «Contact» forms: it tells people apart from automated submissions. It receives IP address, browser and connection characteristics and may set its own technical cookies on Cloudflare's domain, strictly necessary for the check. It is not used to identify or profile you (notice: cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-policy).

jsDelivr, on the API reference page: it serves the documentation viewer. It receives the IP address of whoever opens the page and sets no cookies.

The PMS (app.galaxy-hotel.net)

The PMS uses no cookies. It uses the browser's local storage for:

the work session: the access token, valid for 12 hours, deleted at sign-out;

the preferences of the workstation: language, chosen property, views and filters of the lists, working date, connected fiscal device and outlet, planning tools.

This data is strictly necessary to make the program work the way you set it: it stays on the device, is not used to track you and is not shared with third parties. The maintenance portal uses local storage in the same way for its own session.

Payments

When you activate the subscription by card you are taken to a Stripe page, which uses its own technical and anti-fraud cookies under its own notice (stripe.com/cookies-policy). On our pages Stripe loads nothing.

Why we do not ask for consent

European rules (the ePrivacy Directive, in Italy Article 122 of the Privacy Code and the 2021 guidelines of the Garante, in the UK the PECR) require consent only for cookies and tools that are not necessary, such as analytics, advertising and profiling. We use technical tools only: this is why the notice at the bottom of the page is informational. If in the future we add measurement or marketing tools, we will update this page and ask for consent before enabling them.

How to manage cookies and local storage

You can delete or block cookies and local storage from the browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Clearing local storage brings the cookie notice back and makes the PMS ask you to sign in again; blocking it entirely prevents the PMS from working.

Updates
