Channex
Channex is a channel manager built for PMSs: with a single connection it takes availability, rates and restrictions to Booking.com, Hostelworld, Airbnb, Expedia and the other portals. Reservations land on the planning with the portal's code. You do not need a Channex account: the app creates the property.

What it does
No account to open
The app uses Galaxy Hotel Cloud's Channex account: with “Create on Channex” it publishes the property with its room types and rate plans. You enter no credentials.
Dorms sold by the bed
In a hostel every dorm reaches the portals bed by bed, with the bed price. A reservation for three people comes in as three beds; private rooms stay sold by the room, with the price by number of guests.
Rates and restrictions by themselves
A change to rate plans, periods, offers, age bands or restrictions goes out by itself shortly after saving, in a single submission. A day without a price is closed on the portals, so nobody sells it at the old price.
Reservations on the planning straight away
Channex notifies the app of every reservation taken, changed or cancelled: a change updates the same reservation, with its folio. Whatever cannot come in by itself goes to the top of the dashboard, with the reason.
The portals inside the app
“Connect the portals” opens Channex's channel panel inside the app, for your property only: there you create the channel with the code the portal gave you and match rooms and rates.
How to switch it on
- 1In the Marketplace inside the app open “Channel manager and booking engine”, choose Channex and press “Save and enable”: no credentials are needed.
- 2Press “Create on Channex”: the app publishes the property with room types and rate plans; run it again when you add a room type or a rate plan.
- 3Tick availability, prices, stop sales and restrictions and portal reservations: from then on the app sends and receives by itself.
- 4With “Connect the portals” you create a channel for each portal with its property code; for Hostelworld, first ask its support to activate the connection with Channex.
Frequently asked questions
Is it for hotels or for hostels?+
For both: rooms are sold by the room, dorms by the bed too. Channex is not offered to campsites.
How is it different from Madeep?+
Madeep is also a booking engine for your website and connects with the credentials of your own Madeep account. Channex brings the portals without an account of your own, and only with Channex does the bed price of a dorm also go out from the app.
How do I connect Hostelworld?+
Write to Hostelworld support asking them to activate the connection with Channex: they reply with the property code, which you enter in “Connect the portals”.
