What it does
Questions at the desk
“Is Mr Rossi in?”, “who is in 104?”, “how many doubles are free on Saturday?”: the agent reads the property's data and answers in your language.
Operations to confirm
“Check out room 212” or “add two dinners to the Bianchi folio”: the agent tries the operation with the rules of the PMS and shows you a card to confirm. Something impossible never becomes a proposal.
The model you choose
In the form you can write the name of the OpenAI model to use; left empty, the app uses the default one.
Confidential data left out
Before the question goes out, the PMS removes guests' documents, dates of birth, tax codes, addresses and contact details. OpenAI receives names, rooms, dates and folios.
Permissions and log
From the chat everyone does only what they can do in the app. Every confirmed operation stays in the log, with the user.
How to switch it on
- 1On platform.openai.com create an API key, under API keys.
- 2An administrator opens “AI agent” in the Marketplace inside the app, chooses OpenAI (ChatGPT) and pastes the key; the model field can be left empty.
- 3From then on the button at the bottom right of every page, or Alt+A, opens the AI agent for that property.
Frequently asked questions
Who pays for using the models?+
The property, to OpenAI: OpenAI charges usage to your account, by use. Galaxy Hotel Cloud adds nothing.
Is there any help without a key?+
Yes: the same chat is the assistant that explains the app and prepares the setup, included with a number of free requests. Questions about guests, reservations and folios need the AI agent.
Is the conversation saved?+
No: it lives in the browser tab and does not stay on our servers.
